The healthcare industry has changed significantly over the past decade as the needs of our senior population continue to evolve. Today, an integrated and compassionate approach is more important than ever.

I am offering new services to assist seniors and their families as they navigate the future and plan for the golden years. I am now serving as an Elder Life Coach in addition to my other roles.
In my role as a Senior Real Estate Specialist, Transitional Counselor and Elder Life Coach the real estate market, systems, individuals, and family’s needs are constantly changing and evolving. Senior living placement has become increasingly expensive and many clients now require emotional support, counseling and long-term guidance in addition to practical services.
This stage of life is deeply personal and emotional for everyone involved, including adult children and it must be handled with sensitivity, patience and understanding.
Because of these growing needs, I have added the role of Elder Life Coach to my professional resume. This has become a critical part of my responsibilities and reflects an emerging field designed to support older adults and their families through the emotional, social and physical challenges of aging.
An Elder Life Coach focuses on promoting independence, helping seniors find purpose, managing major life transitions such as retirement or relocation and creating support systems that improve overall quality of life. Elder Life Coaching is forward-looking and action-oriented, helping clients identify goals and practical next steps.
Key services provided through Elder Life Coaching may include:
1. Addressing immediate concerns as a trusted personal resource
2. In-home consultations
3. Assessing aging in place safely and successfully
4. Exploring alternatives when/if aging in place is no longer feasible
5. Identifying resources and support for care and providing for the needs of clients
6. Assisting with paperwork related to eligibility, insurance coverage, medical powers of attorney, wills and other legal documents
7. Help establish healthy and appropriate boundaries for self-care with building support teams for individuals and families
8. Providing reassurance, confidence and ongoing support for continuation on the path of recovery, restoration and relaxation
9. Discussing additional benefits and services as needs evolve and change over time and validating necessary decisions
These specialized senior services fulfill a need while providing enrichment in life. The elder population is growing and such advice is valuable in the work I offer.
