The listings that comprise this unique market segment are often referred to as Retirement Communities. These complexes offer many amenities and activities for their residents. Owners are required to be at least 55 years of age and (in some developments) there are income eligibility requirements.  This category encompasses single family homes, villas, townhouse and condominiums.
